Hi, I’m Josh. Welcome to my blog! I am currently a junior at Bernice Macnaughton High School in the small town of Moncton, New Brunswick, Canada. In my spare time, I enjoy playing soccer, cooking, and binge-watching shows on Netflix. After high school, I plan on attending a university with a double major in economics and political science. My goal for the future is to be working alongside brilliant like-minded people at the United Nations (UN) to contribute to global peacekeeping and helping those in need. My passion for helping others comes from my mom. For as long as I could remember, my mom always told me to be kind. I didn’t think much of it at first, until one day on my way to school, my mom pulled over on the side of the road. At first, I was confused, but as I glanced at the sidewalk, I noticed an elderly lady struggling to cross the road. My mom had stopped so that she could help the lady cross. This experience shaped who I am today. It is one of the main reasons that I have developed such a strong passion for lending a helping hand to others. Hopefully, in the future, I can help cause change on a global scale. So why did I make this blog? Throughout 2020 many terrible things have happened across the world. Inequality is still present, people are fighting for their lives, and every day we are one step closer to an irreversible climate change. I want to share my opinion as a high school teen on these dire situations taking place across the world, and possible solutions to these problems that impact many lives around the world – most likely yours too.
